First Day of Preschool

On Monday my little monkey started her first day of preschool, year two. This year I made it a point to go with her since I missed the first day of school last year and was totally bummed because I had to work. I found the cool printable on Tip Junkie. Too bad my printer was almost out of toner. Next year I have to find one for Pre-K

I have been saying bye bye to my girl ever since she was 3 months old and I went back to work. It is kind of amusing reading that all the SAHM bloggers getting all misty eyed sending their kids off to kindergarten. I guess if you have been home with them for years it might be more traumatic when you say goodbye. Last year I cried because I missed her first day of Preschool. My boss was more of a tyrant back and I felt compelled to go to work bright and early at 6:30. My husband usually takes her to school in the morning and I pick her up. Luckily, since he started a new job closer to mine we have been able to carpool twice a week and I have been able to spend more time with Aurora in the morning. I used to leave hours before she woke up and wouldn't see her until about 4 or 5pm. That was so hard on me for years. I guess we all have our own version mommy guilt.
