Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Crispy Treats

I love Caramel and I love Dark Chocolate and I love Rice Crispy Treats. My husband suggested I put them all together. At first I thought it was kind of crazy but I am glad I did. I just made basic rice crispy treats and added the chocolate. This was also the first time I used the microwave to make them.

Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Crispy Treats
3 Tablespoons of Butter
1 Package of Regular Marshmallows
6 Cups Crispy Rice Cereal
4 Caramel Filled Dark Chocolate Bars. I used Trader Joe's Caramel with Black Sea Salt.
Break chocolate bar in squares as carefully as you can then lay them in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir well until smooth. Add 6 cups of cereal and stir until well coated. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into pan. Cool and then cut into 2 inch squares.
